“We do not inherit the Earth from our ancestors,
we borrow it from our children.” — David Brower
Lately, when Julien and I have some down time together, we curl up on the couch and watch the new Netflix series “Our Planet”. Sir David Attenborough's latest documentary about Earth highlights the many wonders of our planet and the miracles of life, but also focuses on the challenges that we are all facing due to climate change.
The destruction that humans have caused and are continuing to cause is heartbreaking.
Julien and I have both been affected by this incredible and eye-opening series, but it has been particularly interesting to see his reaction to it. After we watched one of the episodes we were both left feeling a bit hopeless by the fragile state of the Earth and Julien yelled out,
“We must act now!”
I couldn’t agree more. Action must be taken. But by whom? Who is responsible for getting our planet get back on track?
We all have the power to make a positive impact.
