Radical Self Care

The holidays are upon us! And the cooking has begun. So many yummy smells are coming from the kitchen as I write this. My mom is currently whipping up lasagne and pumpkin cookies 🙌🏻

This is such a beautiful time when family and loved ones get together and celebrate each other, gratitude, food, life. It can also be a time to have the excuse to over indulge because it’s the holidays and there are so many yummy things around.

It’s taken me a lot of years to learn that the best gift I can give myself (and my family) this season is the gift of feeling good, and strong, and healthy, and present so that I can enjoy the moment and the people around me.

One way that I am able to do that is to make smart choices in the moment that make me feel good now and make my future self feel good too. If I don’t take care of myself now, I know I’ll regret it later and I won’t be able to enjoy all of the goodness that surrounds me.

Radical self care is something I will be practicing this holiday season. RADICAL SELF CARE 💫

I am very passionate about food, and I am also very passionate about health, wellness and feeling good. I believe there is a way to find a balance between the two.

I choose to not eat sugar because it makes me feel down so I’ll be attempting to whip up a sugar free pumpkin pie to enjoy. I hope it turns out ok. ☺️

I also love to enjoy celery and lemon juice in the morning. It’s so refreshing and I feel vibrant afterward. I blend a whole bunch of celery with the juice of a lemon and some water, strain it, and drink it out of a wine glass. It feels special that way and like a beautiful gift to myself.

Cheers to your health and well being and peace of mind.

❤️
