We're three moms (and sisters) who couldn't find a diaper bag we'd want to carry even without diapers. All of them were girly or frumpy and sent the wrong message: "I'm the Mom, it's my job to schlep all the baby stuff." It's a self-fulfilling message, because few partners are willing to be seen carrying bags like that. And who could blame them, really?
It's just not our view of parenting. We want a bag that won't assign a role to anyone... An inclusive bag that gives us confidence and pride in whatever roles we choose as parents.
What our bag does is hold everything, look great on everyone and prompt the question, "Shut up, that's a diaper bag?"
